Executive Summary
Most research on out-of-school Children in Nigeria do not attempt to identify the affected children
or show their spatial distribution as such spatial analysis are often not done. In this project, GIS
was employed to aid visualization, monitor of activities of data collectors in field and ensure
quality control and spatial analysis to determine trend and patterns of out-of-school children in
selected LGAs of Kaduna State. GIS was also utilized in spatial data capture for contact tracing of
the children. This helps in planning and decision making because the spatial count of the children
per LGA or ward can be determined.
